Jason Kidd to be cover boy of NBA Live 2003
Electronic Arts has signed an agreement with New Jersey Nets all-star guard Jason Kidd to become the spokesman and cover athlete for its basketball game, NBA Live 2003. Kidd, who led the Nets to a 52-30 record and a trip to the NBA Finals, will lend his expertise in the sport to the game’s developers, “I look forward to getting together with the developers this summer and adding my thoughts to help make NBA Live 2003 the best basketball video game around." It looks like Kidd will have to try extremely hard to do that and contend with the likes of Inside Drive 2003 and NBA 2k3. Currently, NBA Live 2003 is dismal 60th on the XBA Top 75 Games charts, and there are only 82 games out. NBA Live 2003 is expected to appear this fall.
