Activision Has A New License
Gamers start your engines! Activision has signed a multiyear agreement with International Media Productions to have exclusive worldwide rights to the Michelin Race of Champions--Rally Masters. With this deal, Activision has the ability to make and publish games based on the license and will also give them the rights to use 42 drivers, 21 licensed cars, and five race circuits. Shippment of the first title under this agreement is expected in the year 2002.IMP’s president, Fredrik Johnson made this comment about Activision.
"We awarded Activision with the license because we are impressed with the quality of its games and its strength in building long-term franchises. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work closely with Activision to develop great games around our brand."
