Xbox Gets Budget Lineup
Although Microsoft themselves hasn’t bothered to make a public announcement yet, the company is about to launch Xbox Platinum Hits, a line of PS2 Greatest Hits-style budget rereleases for their own system. The first two games in this library, Max Payne and Project Gotham Racing, are already available at online shops here and there; they should hit retail shops over the next couple of days. The exact price of Platinum games varies Max Payne is set at $29.99, while Gotham is much more reasonable at $19.99 and there isn’t any word quite yet on what requirements games have to meet before they can join Microsoft’s budget library. In other words, check your local store for details. (Companies never seem to tell us about these things, for some reason.
