MVP Baseball Ships Today

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--March 11, 2003--MVP! MVP! MVP! Electronic Arts today announced the release of MVP Baseball(TM) 2003 from EA SPORTS(TM) on the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system and Xbox(TM) video game system from Microsoft. A PC version will ship on March 25, 2003. This is a whole new ballgame... knock the dirt off your spikes for the first season of MVP Baseball 2003, an all-new reengineered baseball franchise under the EA SPORTS brand. MVP Baseball 2003 incorporates a new pitcher/batter interface that allows players to be more strategic with their pitching and batting. An all-new "picture-in-picture" on-base view will create an added dimension and strategy to base running. Realistic stadiums and highly detailed player models and animations bring the baseball action to life. Adding to the depth of the game, MVP Baseball 2003 includes a robust franchise mode that incorporates rookie drafts, player development, career ending injuries, contracts and hirings/firings. MVP Baseball 2003 is rated "E" (Everyone) and carries an MSRP of $49.99. The all-new baseball game from EA SPORTS is equipped with a rebuilt engine and is developed by a new internal team at EA Canada.
