UbiSoft Ranks High!

Montreal, Canada - March 20, 2003 - According to the latest ACNielsen Canadian* market research for the video game industry in the year 2002, Ubi Soft Canada is proud to announce that it has reached the number 6 position for independent video game publishers across Canada "We are extremely happy to have been so successful in the Canadian market," says Olivier Ernst, General Manager. "In a competitive market like video games such market success could not have been achieved without the incredibly beneficial relationships with our retailers as well as the talent and skill of the game developers and our proximity to the development teams. We look forward to continuing this upward climb in the year 2003 and further success with our retail partnerships as well as anticipating more critical success in the video game market." The latest ACNielsen Canada* results show that in the PC division Ubi Soft Canada is now ranked the fifth top independent video game publisher in Canada and seventh in the Canadian console market. These achievements come thanks to the success of several of Ubi Soft Entertainments group of games such as the incredibly well received Tom Clancy line- including Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell(tm), Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon(tm), and The Sum of All Fears(tm) -, the Chessmaster series, the Myst games, and the well known Rayman family of games. Ubi Soft Canada realized huge growth in the year 2002 which takes them one step closer to the group’s ultimate goal of being one of the top-five game publishers in the world by the year 2005. Ubi Soft Canada anticipates further great results across Canada in 2003 with exciting new releases this March including a PC version of Splinter Cell, Shadowbane, the latest in the Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six series called Raven Shield, and the release of the new Rayman 3 game.
