Welcome To Xbox Addict v3.0

Welcome to the new and improved Xbox Addict.com. What you see here is the hard work and dedication from all of the staff members that were involved actively whether it be the flash designs from Dustin (ManeatingCow), the msg board overhaul by Justin (Van-XBA) with help from Nick (Kraft-XBA) and Chris (Frink-XBA), the site design by myself (Kevin-XBA), the massive undertaking of scripts by Stephen (Stephen-XBA) in collaberation with Dianne (Nightingale-XBA) and Gerald (Gerald-XBA), and the awesome flash intro from Jason (Lynx-FX), and most importantly the creative input and suggestions and the all around support from the other staff members who tested and re-tested the site trying to break it and told us what sucked and what didn’t (which wasn’t much). That being said here are some of the new features here at Xbox Addict.com that we hope you will enjoy:
  • Auto Login: Members of the site who signed up in the msg board will no longer have to key in their login and password information anymore on the site. All of the features that used to require a login such as reviewing a game, entering the chat etc are all automated now. Of course if you clear your cookies you’ll have to log back in. :)
  • Wallpaper section: Addicts will now be able to add their own wallpapers to show off their mad photoshop skills for any game in the database. Authorization of wallpapers is required to filter so submissions will not auto post, so dont bother uploading porn.
  • Ultra Stats: The major geeks tool of choice. You can check out the life span of any game in the database and how it faired among the gamers. These can be found on the game profile pages of released titles.
  • Xbox Live Gamertag: Addicts can now search for other Xbox Live players in their area or around the world as well as update their Xbox Live information such as gamertag and origin. Stay tuned for more from this section.
  • 30 Day Giveaway: Starting today Addicts will have a shot at winning some of the awesome prizes we have lined up from the fine folks from Nyko, Sega, Microsoft, Code junkies, Activision, Ubisoft, and Key Digital with over 3k worth of Xbox goodness!! Be sure to check out the contest page for more info on that and don’t forget to join our new recruit Josh as he will be manning the give aways in the chat room starting at 9pm EST.
  • Site Navigation: A much more sleek design to finding the right information you’re looking for with game searches throughout the whole site and one button access to adding comments on everything. It can’t get any easier.

    • There’s much more than this of course that is new to the site, so go have a peek around and check things out. Sign up if you haven’t done so and most of all.. have fun! Please pardon the dust around a few sections of the site as we are still working on them. If you have suggestions, praise or find an odd bug please leave a message in the suggestions forum or private message one of the staff members. Oh and by the way.. the party is in the chat room. :)
