Yamauchi takes on Xbox
Hiroshi Yamauchi the president of Nintendo Co., LTD, took his swings at Microsoft and Xbox yesterday in an interview he had with Bloomberg Japan. One of the highlights of the interview was what Mr. Yamauchi said when asked about Microsoft and Bill Gates.What Yamauchi Said: "Everyone agrees that Bill Gates is a great businessman, but he’s human after all -- there are things that he does not know. Games are one of them. If you know nothing about sumo, you can’t expect to become a Yokozuna. I believe that in a year’s time, we’ll start seeing the consequences of this."
All I have to say on this is "wow". Bill Gates being one of the, if not the richest man in the world not knowing about games? C’mon guy, with all that money what do you think he does in his spare time? Probably the same thing we do, sit down at his kick ass computer with his super fast connection, and kick some butt with online gaming. You know it’s got to be true. :) Only time will tell if Xbox succeeds, but I think we all know that it will and all the people who have bashed it in the past will find out what true gaming is like.
