US vs Microsoft Live!
The US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit will be permitting a live, audio feed of its upcoming oral argument in the case, United States v. Microsoft Corp.. This is the first time this court has allowed the broadcast of its proceedings. Both ABCNews and C-SPAN are offering the telecasts for listening. While the arguements started yesterday, which you can still listen to, todays broadcasts will start at 9:30 am PST.
The appeals court is going to have to try to figure out not only whether Jackson was prejudiced against Microsoft, but also whether he held those opinions before the trial. If Jacksons pre-existing notions influenced his decision, it would create a problem, lawyers said. But if he came up with his dislike of the company after the case, the appeals court might let his opinions slide.
