Microsoft Game Studios Receives Awards
Microsoft Game Studios today announced that two MGS titles received Interactive Achievement Awards from the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS), as well as a Hall of Fame award for Fable creator Peter Molyneux. Seven MGS titles were nominated, with Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge and Zoo Tycoon: Complete Collection taking home awards. The award ceremony took place last night, March 4, 2004 at the D.I.C.E. Summit in Las Vegas. Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge took home the award for Console Action/Adventure Game of the Year, while Zoo Tycoon: Complete Collection earned the award for Computer Family Title of the Year. At the D.I.C.E summit, the AIAS also inducted Peter Molyneux into the AIAS Hall of Fame. Molyneux, creator of such groundbreaking games as Populous and Black and White, is currently working on the highly-anticipated RPG Fable for Xbox. The annual AIAS Interactive Achievement Awards are determined by a vote of the Academy’s membership. The awards recognize and honor outstanding interactive content and creative and technical achievement in the creation of interactive software entertainment.
