8 XBox Games Revealed

Today, Tuesday 13th March, Microsoft’s annual game showcase - GameStock - opened to 150 games journalists from around the world. For everyone present, the highlight of the show was the chance to see and play the firm’s first 8 Xbox titles. These are the games that will help launch the system to the world between Fall of 2001 and Spring 2002.

On top of these stellar first-party games, there are still 150 of the best third-party developers in the world (including Konami and Electronic Arts) carefully preparing games for the Xbox. When you remember that Fantavision was Sony’s only in-house title ready for the launch of the PS2, it becomes clear how impressive Microsoft’s portfolio really is.

Like all good launch line-ups, the games previewed at GameStock showed a huge variety of gaming styles, from the first-person shoot-em-up brilliance of Halo to the sublime sports brilliance of NFL Fever. We’ve got all the news and pictures you need - click the menu above right to get your first real glimpse of gaming on the Xbox.

Check it out! Those games look SWEEETT!
