New Matrix Games Coming SoonIn between criticising and speculating sky-high price-points for Sony handhelds at last weeks Piper Jaffray conference, Ataris CEO Bruno Bonnell also found time to confirm two more spin-offs from his companys coveted Matrix licence. According to the publishing bigwig, Atari would definitely be developing a second Matrix game for current console formats, while also working on a third for the second wave of next-gen platforms. Whether Shiny Entertainment - the mastermind behind the okayish, rather successful Enter the Matrix game - is the team handling development duties has neither been denied nor confirmed, although wed be quite surprised if it wasnt. In fact, it is widely believed that the new Matrix game was originally planned for unveiling at the recent E3, which suggests that production must already be a relatively advanced stage. Needless to say, no release dates or exact platform details have yet to be leaked either, but only a fool would bet against PS2, Xbox and PC versions appearing sometime next year. More on this as we have it.
