Activision scores Spider-Man Rights
With the movie to be released in May 2002, Activision has jumped on the videogame rights for the upcoming Spider-Man motion picture from Columbia Pictures. Activision has already made games based on the comic-book license and now is expected to ship out its games on or soon after the movie is released. As of right now they also own the rights to PC, console and handheld versions of the game. President and COO, Activision, Ron Doornink, had this to say:
``We are thrilled to create interactive games based on the storyline, characters and action-packed sequences from the upcoming Spider-Man film. Activision will bring our own brand of interactive magic and vision to this unique property and continue building on the success we have already had with the Spider-Man franchise.
