An Alternative For Xbox Live Headset

Nyko Technologies(TM), a leading manufacturer of innovative peripherals for video and computer games, has produced an ideal headset alternative for use with Xbox(R) Live voice enabled games -- the Nyko SpeakerCom(TM). The controller-mounted SpeakerCom allows players to speak and listen without the ear discomfort and wire distraction that might be caused by a headset. "The popularity of Xbox Live has created a dedicated online gaming community by adding voice communication into gameplay," said Susan Corben, director of marketing, Nyko Technologies. "Both our company gamers and Nyko product fans have told us that for some players the headset can be distracting. The Nyko SpeakerCom solves this issue." The SpeakerCom features a self-muting microphone designed to reduce background noise as well as a crisp loudspeaker which allows the entire room to take part in the game. The SpeakerCom mounts to the existing Xbox Live Adapter and fits any Xbox controller with two expansion ports. The SpeakerCom comes with full volume control and mute button, enabling the user to set the speaker at a comfortable noise level. SpeakerCom features include: -- Self-muting, focused microphone -- High-quality loud speaker -- Fits any Xbox dual-port controller -- Uses existing Xbox Live Volume control -- Compatible with all voice-enabled Xbox Live Games Nyko's SpeakerCom has a retail price of $24.99 and is currently available at all major retailers. .
