Jester snags TT racing license
In a press release from the UK developers Jester Interactive, a new racing title is heading our way for both the XBOX and the PS2. Jester recently acquired the license to one of the most popular motorcycle races that happens only once a year, the T. T. Motorcycle Race. Held on the Isle of Man, the T.T race is a highspeed romp around the small island located off the shores of Germany. The agreement between Jester Interactive and the Isle of Man Department of Tourism (a department of the Isle of Man Government) is to develop games based on the spectacular event that has been staged annually since 1907. The 37.7-mile Isle of Man T.T. road circuit, which utilises the public highway on the island, is the longest in the world. "ISLE OF MAN T.T." (working title) will strike a balance between realism and addictive gameplay.
The Hon. David Cretney, M.H.K., Minister for Tourism & Leisure and Chairman of the Road Race Co-ordinating Committee of the T.T. expressed his delight with the deal which has been struck with Jester Interactive. "Whilst our event has featured before within the world of computer entertainment, Jester Interactives reputation for innovation, quality and productivity will ensure that this game reaches new heights and is sure to become an award winner in its own right. The T.T. has thrilled an international audience for over 90 years and now that entertainment is going to be further enhanced." Geoff Wilson the Chief Executive of the Auto Cycle Union echoed Mr. Cretneys remarks. He said that, "Jester Interactives game will not only appeal to motorcycle enthusiasts but will reach out further to a wider audience further publicising what, we believe, to be one of the most exciting participant and spectator sports on the planet!"
