Bach Talks Xbox Pricing
A report from CBS MarketWatch has stated, that the people in Japan will be able to pick up their very own lovely Xbox by handing over a cool 39,000 ¥en ($315)."Console pricing is a pretty well defined science. The research has told us that consoles typically start around the range of $299 in the U.S. and somewhere between 29,000 yen and 39,000 yen in Japan," said Robert Bach, a senior vice president of Microsofts game division, "We will take that research into account when we start pricing Xbox." But he declined to provide further details.
Speaking last weekend in Chiba, which is pretty darn close to the Tokyo Game Show site, Bach said there will probably be three to four weeks in between launches in the U.S. and Japan. "Thats just to make sure that the logistics can actually work well. Trying to do two different launches on the same day is just too hard," Bach said. He did state that U.S. and Japanese gamers will have Xbox in their hands by Christmas
