Momma Im Comin Home
Just when you thought it was safe to turn on your local rock station. Ozzy is back! And hes in video game form. Xbox.IGN has done a pretty freakin cool preview of a new game called Ozzys Black Skies. The game set in a magical Ozzy land promises to at least be one of the most weird games for Xbox. Heres a little snipplet of what IGN had to say...The plot of the game revolves around the three incarnations of King Ozzy of Fraewyn, the magical land where the game is set. These incarnations follow Ozzys career to some extent, although they take certain liberties since this is after all a game. For example, in the 70s, Ozzy first came on the scene with Black Sabbath as a demonic dark master who bit the heads off of bats. The 80s are marked by Ozzys stint as the unforgettable werebeast on the Bark at the Moon album cover. In the 90s Ozzy further reinvented himself as a family man and noble almost angelic figure. Each of the three campaigns sees one of the incarnations of Ozzy as the leader of a winged-army of beasts, each trying to gain control of the throne of Fraewyn. As such, the three factions in Black Skies will also be based on the musical phases that Ozzy has gone through in his over 30-year career, and are as follows:
Pariah
Chrysalis
Virtwyn But wait! Theres more! Read the full preview that IGN has done!
The Pariah are obsessed with death, and is deeply rooted in the art of black magic. The Pariahian army consists of the misfits, social outcasts, insane, and criminal elements of the original kingdom of Fraewyn. The Pariah beasts are wicked winged demons, undead rotting dragons and dinosaurs, as well as summoned elemental monsters.
The kingdom of Chrysalis was founded on the principle of shaping nature to suit their particular needs. The Chrysalis used chemicals and magical means to mutate and combine different creatures and warriors. Chrysalis flyers range from mutated flying eyeballs to lumbering, heavily armored dragons.
The kingdom of Virtwyn is founded on the principles of strength and nobility. The Virtwyn believe they have a purity of character, and therefore favor the colors white and silver. Purple and gold are often used as accent colors to enhance their regal flair. The mounts that the Virtwyn pilots use are found in the natural world, and are also the types of beasts that one would expect to find in fantasy or mythological worlds, such as the griffin and roc.
