E3 2005: Microsoft News Conference Lineup Highlights Ever since Microsoft has shown one of its proverbial hands, the gaming world has literally been in a frenzy to find out more about the Xbox 360s future. If youve been following our coverage, weve revealed several fundamental highlights including the final design, hardware specs, the new-and-improved Xbox Live and several high-profile titles. Electronic Arts is among of several companies that are committed to offering a broad lineup for the Xbox 360 including Madden NFL 06, Need for Speed Most Wanted, FIFA 06, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06, The Godfather: The Game and NBA Live 06. This evening, the company announced at the conference that the system will also be backward-compatible with the top-selling Xbox games. In addition, over 160 games are currently in development for the Xbox 360, with 25 to 40 titles slated for release later this year. The conference also gave some attention to the existing Xbox library, showcasing several upcoming games in video form. The company also announced several other titles currently in development.
