Interview with David Ortiz
Over at IGN Xbox, the guys have had a chance to interview the designer of NFL Fever 2002, David Ortiz. A clip:IGN Xbox: Looks certainly play a part these days. Along those lines, how many different animations have you included? Are you guys getting in the multi-player mo-caps? How many polys are in the player models? What about the stadiums? We see that the crowd has a bit more "pep" to it...Check out the whole interview here!
David: Weve got 5,000 polys per player, with 900 of those polys in the face alone, so were going to be able to do things with facial animations that havent been done in a sports game to date. Players are actually going to be able to convey pain, excitement, etc. through the course of the game. As far as the stadiums are concerned, Fever has the highest level of stadium detail that youll see in a sports game to date. You look at our crowd..the way they act, the models themselves and you have to admit, it looks impressive.
