Perfect Dark Zero Is A Mature Game

Perfect Dark Zero Takes an "M" The ESRB (Entertainment Software Ratings Board), recently criticized for not cracking down on Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for including broken code revealing sexual content, has released the first ratings for Microsoft's Xbox 360 games. The first two Xbox 360 games, Rare's Perfect Dark Zero and Kameo: Elements of Power, were rated M, for mature, and T, for Teen, respectively, in a document recently released to videogame companies. Perfect Dark Zero was rated M for "Blood, Language, Violence," while Kameo's designation of T was for "Animated Blood and Violence." Another interesting tidbit was that both games were listed as "online." Though we learned at E3 Kameo would feature Live co-op, Microsoft may not have revealed all of Kameo's online components. Is there more to it than that? Neither of these two ESRB ratings are surprising. But given that no other Xbox 360 titles were listed, these early ratings indicate that Microsoft's promised launch titles are indeed making progress; specifically, Microsoft has already submitted the code for approval. No other Xbox 360 games were included.
