Xbox 360 Pricing Revealed
PRICING DETAILS FOR the online play system of the Xbox 360 have been revealed in a recent leak which shows that there will be two versions of the premium service available. We had already been told by Microsoft that basic access to Xbox Live, which includes the ability to message other users but not actually play games, would be free. The premium "Gold" service however works much like the current Xbox Live subscription system where players pay a flat fee in order to access the system. The pricing for this Gold subscription was leaked to Xbox Live France which managed to get scans of the marketing materials. The most expensive subscription is the "Premium Gold" which comes with a 12 month subscription, a communications headset, an Xbox Live arcade game "Billiards," a $20 discount on an Xbox 360 game purchase and 200 points in the Xbox Live marketplace. All this costs $69.99. After that one can get a basic 12 month subscription for $59.99 which has one extra month thrown in for free, or a 3 and 1 month subscription to the service for $19.99 and $7.99 respectively.Source: http://www.theinquirer.net/
