UIS Wants to Publish Games
Universal Interactive Studios (UIS) has made the decision to take a chunk of the interactive entertainment industry. UIS announced today that it will be converting from a console production company to a multi-platform games publisher. Also with this big transaction they appointed Jim Wilson as the new president of the company. Wilson previously served as UIS’ senior vice president of production.ieMag.com spoke with Wilson and during the interview he stated that UIS is not going to fall into the trap that other Interactive Studio groups have by creating the poorly-made "see the movie, play the game" products. Wilson further added, "We are focusing on producing high-quality games based on great franchises. We will also introduce a handful of new franchises every year for the next couple of years and growing them without overexposing."
