Climax Appoints New VP

Climax serious about business growth Independent developer appoints new VP of business development Intent on growing and developing its business, Climax hopes that the appointment of two new senior management staff will be the catalyst for the realization of its aggressive ambitions. The company has appointed Lou Fawcett as the vice president of business development for Europe, while Brian Dreyer takes on the role for the firm’s US operations. Climax has stated that both appointments are crucial to its global operational expansion plans. Previously holding senior sales and business development roles at Atari and Hasbro Interactive, Lou Fawcett is "excited" to be joining climax. "The company is genuinely committed to growing the business and I’m looking forward to working closely with publishers across Europe to explore every new opportunity," she stated in a company press release. Building a reputation for identifying multiple business opportunities and developing key relationships within the industry, Brian Dreyer has worked in senior management roles at Syncata and Gartner. In founding his own company, DNA, Dreyer served as an agent and consultant for several major publishers. He aims to utilise that experience to develop and expand Climax’s operations in the US. "This determination to grow, combined with the company’s willingness to explore and embrace exciting new business ideas and opportunities, makes this a dream job and one I’m relishing getting stuck into," Dreyer commented. Climax is an independent videogames developer working with market leaders including Microsoft, SCEA, Buena Vista and THQ. Divided into three studios covering action, racing and a new studio designed to cater for the North American market, Climax are responsible for the acclaimed Moto GP series on Xbox. The title was instrumental in the initial success and growth of Microsoft’s online multiplayer service, Xbox Live.
