Microsoft Announces Japan Xbox 360 Prices
Microsoft Announces X360 Pricing in Japan Japan is getting quite the deal on the Xbox 360 hardware. Microsoft announced at last weeks Tokyo Game Show that the system will be released in Japan at 39,795 yen, with the 20-gig hard disk, media remote control, wireless controller, combo D-terminal/AV-cable (a cable that has D-terminal and standard audio-video outputs, allowing for both standard and high-definition outputs), LAN cable, AC adapter, batteries and instruction manual included. As a bonus, early adopters will get an Xbox 360 head set included at no extra charge. Weve also learned some prices for the systems peripherals and Xbox Live program over in Japan. First, heres what the peripheral list looks like: Wireless Controller: 4725 yen Controller: 3675 yen Face Plate: 2100 yen Memory Unit (64 Megabytes): 3360 yen Wireless LAN Adapter: 8925 yen Play & Charge Kit: 2100 yen Rechargeable Battery Pack: 1365 yen D-terminal/HD-AV cable: 3675 yen Component/HD-AV cable: 3675 yen VGA HD AV Cable 3675 yen S Video AV Cable: 2625 yen Head Set: 2625 yen Universal Media Remote Controller: 2625 yen In addition to this, Microsoft has revealed the pricing for Xbox Live in Japan. One month of service will cost 819 yen. Three months will run 2,079 yen with a year costing 5229 yen. This is for the Gold Membership. The Silver Membership program will, of course, be free. To make the Online jump easier, Microsoft plans on offering the Xbox Live gold Pack on 12/10. Carrying a price of 7140 yen, the package will include twelve months of Xbox Live membership, the Xbox 360 Headset and Tetris: The Grand Master Ace. Xbox 360 will hit Japan on 12/10, launching along side Tetris The Grand Master Ace (Cavia), Dead or Alive 4 (Tecmo), Frame City (Namco), Ridge Racer 6 (Namco), Enchant Arm (From Software), Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter (Ubisoft) and Every Party (Microsoft).Source: http://www.ign.com
