Circuit City Offering Last Minute Pre-Order Deals

Electronics retailer Circuit City will begin to offer pre-orders for the new Xbox 360 console through its online division today starting at 2 p.m. EST. Circuitcity.com will sell four bundles that start at $485.95 for the Xbox 360 premium edition and the Core System. The Gold Package Core System bundle will include the Xbox 360 Core System, 64MB memory unit, additional wired controller, Project Gotham Racing 3 and Need for Speed: Most Wanted for $489.95. The Platinum Core System adds a universal remote, Perfect Dark Zero, and Madden NFL 06 for $629.92. The premium edition Gold Package includes an Xbox 360 premium system, additional wireless controller, universal remote, Project Gotham Racing 3, and Need for Speed: Most Wanted for $589.95. The Platinum Package adds a 64MB memory unit, Perfect Dark Zero, Madden NFL 06 for $739.92. Circuitcity.com is the last remaining online retailer to sell Xbox 360s in advance of the console’s official debut on Nov. 22. Other online retailers, including GameStop, EBGames.com, Walmart.com, Bestbuy.com, and Amazon.com have sold out of the new system. The system is not expected to last long as launch quantities are limited according to several brick and mortar retailers, many of which will not be able to fulfill all pre-orders for the console. Retailers have begun selling Xbox 360 games, accessories, and Xbox Live offerings. Several more launch games will be sold starting today. Microsoft expects to sell three million Xbox 360 units in the first 90 days after launch.
