Activision gets a new brand

Activision Inc. has a new brand identity and logo for its action sports games, Activision O2. This new brand will represent all the blood, sweat and tears that today’s action sports athletes go though by pushing their bodies to the limit. The "O2" at the end of the name was was formed around the idea of catching ``big air’’ and for everybody who remembers their Periodic table from school knows that "O2" is the chemical formula for oxygen. Do you see the connection?

"The introduction of Activision O2 further strengthens the company’s position as a leading developer of compelling action sports games," said Activision’s Kathy Vrabeck, executive vice president of worldwide publishing and global brand management. "The brand underscores our commitment to consumers by providing us with a clearer and stronger voice in the marketplace-a voice that more accurately reflects the innovations we have and will continue to bring to the category. Activision also reinforces the company’s goal of continuing to build on the category that we pioneered with the best- selling action sports franchise to date, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater."

Here is a list of future Activision O2 games:

1. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2-N64, GBA
2. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2x-Xbox
3. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3-PS One, PS2, Xbox, GBA, PC
4. Shaun Palmer’s Pro Snowboarder-PS2, GBC, GBA
5. Kelly Slater’s Pro Surfer-PS2, Xbox
