New Medal of Honor screens
GameSpot has learned that Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, the visually impressive Quake III-powered first-person shooter, will be at EAs booth at E3 this year. According to the Gspot guys, Medal of Honor will be only shown behind closed doors or should we say, behind the craft? Electronic Arts is rumored to have an elaborate booth setup consisting of a US Navy landing craft with a ramp that leads into the small demo room. Several uniformed officers will also be patrolling the area, undoubtedly to make sure that no one without proper credentials compromises the security of the landing vehicle.GSpot is betting that EA will most likely show the invasion of Normandy sequence of the game at the show. This level will have players jump off an amphibious landing craft at Omaha Beach and attempt to reach the cliffs of the devastated beachhead while avoiding German landmines, barbed wire, artillery, and machine-gun fire. There are three new screenshots showing the Normandy sequence posted up of which you can click here to check them out.
On a more serious note the National D-Day Memorial Foundation which is located in my home town, has issued a press release for those planning to attend the Dedication ceremony for the men who lost their lives that day on the beach. The release concerns a time change for the beginning of the ceremony as well as more information for those that plan to attend. While not confirmed, President Bush has been invited to conduct the dedication. Click here to view the info.
