CES: Downloadable Fight Night Demo
IGN has learned a major component of Microsoft’s CES keynote speech today features the start of free downloadable Xbox 360 demo games on Xbox Live Marketplace, starting with Electronic Arts’ Fight Night Round 3. (Check our screenshots.) EA’s Fight Night Round 3, which is now on Xbox Live Marketplace as a 486 MB downloadable demo (as well as low and high res trailers), will take a spotlight role at the demonstration, while games such as Epic Games’ Gears of War and Sega’s Full Auto are rumored as possible downloads as well, though both Microsoft denied GoW and Sega would not comment on Full Auto. Sega’s racing-action demo is already available on Future Publications’ OXM and will officially be a downloadable demo game in the near future. As part of its announcement, Microsoft will highlight its recent achievements, the ("worldwide") launch of Xbox 360, sales numbers, and it will assuredly keep gamers aware of its 2006 roster.
