Taiwanese Games On The Horizon
More than 10 producers of on-line and/or PC games in Taiwan are engaged in the development of Xbox 360 games, according to Microsoft Taiwan. However, many of the offerings won’t be available until after the March 2 launch of the Xbox 360 in the Taiwan market, the companies indicated. XPEC Entertainment will be first to the market by launching the game “Spectral Force Chronicle,” first in Japan on April 28, according to the company. XPEC is currently the only Taiwanese company offering console games for the Xbox, PlayStation (PS), and Game Cube. Fun Town will revise its existing “Ma-jiang” game, a traditional Chinese gambling game, for the Xbox 360 with a launch planned for the middle of this year. Softstar Entertainment will shift its PC games to the new game platform with the first one to be on the market at the end of 2006. Soft-World International plans to offer a MMORPG (massively multi-player on-line role-playing game) also at the end of this year. InterServ International is developing a new game specifically for the Xbox 360, with a launch slated for September 2007.Source: http://www.digitimes.com/
