IDSA Q&A
Gamespot.com has an interesting interview with Doug Lowenstein, president of the Interactive Digital Software Association. Topics range from upcoming piracy prevention, Congress' issues on violence in gaming, The trends that are making the market grow, broadband gaming on consoles such as the Xbox, can the console market handle four nextgen consoles, and finally...the fate of Sony on the blunder of the Playstation 2 launch here in the states. Heres a little blurb to get you started and the link to check it all out.
....."Which is not to say that the PlayStation 2, Dreamcast, GameCube, and Xbox wont have a market for their broadband services, but I dont think youll be looking at mass market for that for a number of years. Realistically, in my view, games through broadband will contribute a relatively modest percentage of revenue for the industry in the next few years - under 20 percent."
