In Game Advertising On The Rise
For all of you gamers that enjoyed the Burger King title belt in Fight Night Round 3, get ready for more in-game advertisements. Midway struck a deal with the Double Fusion advertising agency to "provide dynamic, in-game advertising exclusively to select, upcoming Midway titles, including Stranglehold." What's this mean to you gamers out there? Well, these ads will increase "cultural relevance and context," said Steve Allison, Midway's chief marketing officer. Allison went on to praise Double Fusion for being "sensitive to game development and committed to making ad placements organic and credible." There was no mention of what specific ads we will see in future Midway titles, but we would most like to see Mortal Kombat's Sub Zero wielding frozen Dasani ice balls.
