E3 2006: Xbox 360 Wireless Headset Revealed
Under the mess of everything announced at Microsofts press conference this afternoon was a new peripheral that didnt get the amount of recognition the gaming community thinks it ought to have. Microsofts wireless headset for the Xbox 360 will redefine online communication and further advance the Xbox 360 away from its competitors. The new wireless headset can operate up to 30 feet away for up to eight hours. It is unclear weather the headset communicates with the controller or directly with the console. Another question comes up if an extra add-on is needed to use it. Hopefully it will be hassle free and plug-and-play. Another peripheral announcement is the Xbox 360 wireless racing wheel. The wheel not only adds a lot more realism to racing games, but cleans up in a breeze due to no cords or the necessity of having to store it near the console. While no specific release date has been confirmed, we expect to see these new innovations this holiday season, but do not be too surprised if they slip it out alongside the new Xbox Live Vision video camera, due out late spring.Source: http://www.x360central.com/
