Xbox 360 games to get cheaper
Microsoft have announced plans to make some of their most popular games cheaper ahead of the release of rival next-generation consoles. The games giant has confirmed the launch of the Xbox 360 Classics range - a series of older top-selling games that will have their price lowered from around £49.99 to £19.99. The first two games in the series will be Kameo and Perfect Dark Zero and both will be re-released with the lower price this October. The news comes after Microsoft announced plans to lower the price of the Xbox 360 console from £209 to £199 - the first price drop in the machines history. The moves appear to represent an attempt by Microsoft to gain a further head start on industry rivals Sony and Nintendo. Sonys PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wiis are expected to be released before the end of the year and a hotly contested sales battle is expected in the run up to Christmas.Source: http://gamesnews.virgin.net
