PS2 Price Drop
An article from British news site ITN, reports that Sony is dropping the price of PS2’s from £299 to £269, which roughly translates to $43 US Dollars.Darren Carter, Sony’s European marketing director, said: "Because of exchange rates across Europe we altered our trade rate. He went on to say, "We don’t see this as a strategic price cut because the amount is too small."
Nothing has yet been stated as to whether or not the US will see this price drop, but considering that both the Xbox and the Gamecube’s arrival is not too far off, gamers can expect to pick up the unit, well... cheaper.
