Halo 3 Beta Problems Fixed, Beta Extended
Major Nelson has revealed that the technical issues that barred Crackdown owners from acccessing the Halo 3 beta have been resolved. The beta period will now be extended by four days to compensate for the problems. "The team at Microsoft has been working on a software update which went live shortly after 7:00 PM PDT tonight. The update will resolve issues for people using Crackdown to enter the beta," said Xbox Lives director of programming Larry Hyrb, aka Major Nelson, yesterday. "We sincerely apologize for the delay. We know a lot of you have been waiting for the beta for months, and even took time off of work to start early today. We really appreciate your enthusiasm, and we hope the small delay wont damper your enjoyment of the game," he added. Bungie forums were yeaterday inundated with complaints after Crackdown owners were denied access to the beta, which will now run until June 10th. It was recently announced that the much anticipated first person shooter will be released in the U.S. on September 25 and a day later in Europe.Source: http://www.next-gen.biz/
