Microsoft Misses Annual Xbox 360 Shipment Target
Microsoft’s Entertainment and Devices division has admitted that it failed to hit its global shipment target of 12 million for Xbox 360 for the full year ending June 30th. Chief financial officer Chris Liddel said in a conference call that the company had shipped a total of 11.6 million units in the period, reports CNet’s News.com. Liddel said that the figure – a full 400,000 units short of Microsoft’s goal – was “slightly shy” of its projections, but added that the firm was “happy with that number.” The news comes on the same day that Microsoft extended the warranty of Xbox 360 to three years and earmarked $1 billion to fix an “unacceptable number of repairs” to the console.Source: http://www.mcvuk.com
