Xbox Controller
This piece of news about the new Xbox controller was found by Gameslave at CVG. Gameslave has been a busy news hound today. The article states that Microsoft has showed off a prototype in the US and UK. Some of the features that the prototype controller had were as followed:
Microsofts pad will have two expansion ports, one of which will be focused on real-time speech. The other is likely to be used by a memory card. The Dreamcast pad is the obvious influence here.Gamers will get full shock support. The Xbox controller features two vibrator motors.
Two menu navigation buttons will be included. Quite where these will be located on the pad is unknown at this time
An eight-way D-pad appears on the left hand side of the handset.
Two joysticks will give a definite Gamecube feel to the controller.
Dreamcast r us. Two analogue triggers will be included.
All action buttons will be analogue, in the same vein as the PlayStation 2 controller. Youll get six to play around with.
Once again these specs are from a prototype. The pad itself looks like a Dreamcast controller.
