Halo 3 Has Gone GoldThe fight is ready to be finished: Halo 3 has gone gold and is heading to manufacturing. Its Microsofts biggest Xbox 360 release yet, with a reported 1 million-plus pre-orders in North America. Microsoft has dubbed the games release as the "biggest entertainment event of the year." The firm could be right in terms of revenues. Microsoft is aiming to surpass the $155 million mark for first day Halo 3 sales, better than Spider-Man 3s opening weekend revenues of $151 million. The Bungie-developed game will launch on September 25. Bungie Studios head Harold Ryan hyped up Halo 3 as "the best game our studio has developed." According to Microsoft, 2004s Halo 2 for the original Xbox generated $125 million in its first day of sales.
