Xbox Live Having Issues Over the HolidaysReported headaches included an inability to sign in (I had that problem for two days), matchmaking (had that too), and account recovery (roger that).
"While the service was never completely offline, problems like this are not acceptable," writes Microsofts Major Nelson.
"The entire LIVE team has been working day and night to ensure that you can have a great LIVE experience. While were not done yet, I wanted to let you know that things are getting better each hour."
While no reason was given for the connectivity problems, it is believed that an increased number of new Xbox 360 owners are to blame.
Bitbag is reporting that Microsoft will compensate paying LIVE members for the downtime. "We will definitely be doing something for our Gold members that werent able to get online over the last week," a representative said.
