Morrowind Developer Q&A III
Just the other day RPG Vault posted the third installment of the Morrowind Developer Q&A series. This time Project Leader Todd Howard answers all those buring questions that deal with the Morrowinds attribute and skill systems.
Jonric: Please summarize the basic attributes of player characters in Morrowind. To what extent if any will players be able to adjust attribute scores during character creation? What are the main derived attributes? Are any significant changes in the attribute system from Daggerfall?Continue reading here.Todd Howard: The eight basic attributes are Strength, Endurance, Intelligence, Speed, Willpower, Agility, Personality, and Luck. Each is rated from 1 to 100, with 50 being an average person. Each attribute determines how well you can do certain things, and also governs specific skills - like the Block skill, which is governed by Agility. The higher your agility, the better chance you have of dodging attacks, but you can also block better and raise your block skill higher.
