Weekly Halo Update
Its time once again for another edition of the Halo Weekly update where Community guy Matt Soell reveals all (well almost all) of the updates being done to their digital fetus, Halo. Matts update this week is just a tad bit bigger than last weeks, although size has nothing to do with it right?! Heres a few snippets of goodness and the link to check it out.
- The Sin-O-MatiXXX team pushes forward, beginning new cutscenes and adding detail to the ones that already exist. The first cutscene in the game now includes several shots of vehicles moving around a hangar bay while a group of Marines discuss the job ahead. They also got our other new guy, Adam Tews, whos working on sound with Marty and Jay. On the sound front, Marty and Jay recorded ten separate dialog sessions this week.I contemplate every week when I read what the Bungie team is up to, and that is basically how in the hell-o are they going to pull this off with only a short 4 months left to go!! How is one of the THE most anticipated launch title going to be totally finished and playtested when theyre still adding features!- The Bear is in the midst of a complete vehicle physics overhaul; high- and low-level stuff that will make the vehicles work better than they have in recent builds.
And then it hit me. Its for the Xbox (DOH!). There are no hardware issues to be found, no complex compilers, no trace of having to make four processors be streamlined so that you make an image appear on the screen, none of these problems exist. Its all about the games.
Absolutely amazing.
