GTA3 definitively NOT coming

well, either MS and Rockstar wanna make a big surprise by not telling that they're gonna show it, either it's really doomed and we go to something next. The announcement didn't mention GTA4 either, so I would bet on surprises. But who knows.

It still doesn't say that GTA3 is definately not coming. It may not be mentioned at E3, but, it's still possible that it's coming. We'll see.

For a moment there, I thought it was a public notice from Take-2-Entertainment and Rockstar announcing that GTA3 is not coming, but, it's not, therefore, we'll have to wait and see.

as for gta4/miami...my sources tell me its definatley comming to xbox.

i heard they wanna keep it quiet cause Sony is payin for the GTA III commercials so there not goanna let everyone know cause then Rockstar or Take-Two will have to pay. Just somethin i heard once in the forums.

Bah !!! at one point I cared but now I no longer care. We may not get GTA3 but they will never get HALO Our time is coming. This year were gonna get some games that will make PS2 exclusive players jealous " Brute Force " for 1. As well while they are playing lag filled dial up games we will be enjoying lag free broadband.

I'm not saying anything but I believe it is GTA3/MIAMI not GTA4/Miami because its based off of GTA3 and they don't know if it's actually going to be called Miami either, well the "DONT KNOW if there gonna call it Miami" is some old news I saw.

Mafia is coming out for Xbox, the box has been at my local EB with a 'coming soon' label on it for a while now.

As for the rest of Take-Two's lineup, the company will be showing the following console games:

Smuggler's Run: Warzones (GC)
Celebrity Deathmatch (PS2)
Conflict: Desert Storm (PS2, Xbox, GC)
Spec Ops: Airborne Division (PS)
Austin Powers Pinball (PS)
Duke Nukem Advance (GBA)

It's also expected that the recently announced Midnight Club 2 will show up in one form or another, though that title wasn't included in the announcement. We'll

i dont no why Take 2 would hipe up Gta3 for xbox and then suddenly just forget about it and not even mention it at E3. i still think that the xbox will have a huge surprise at e3 even if its not gta3. well have to just wait and see.

I hate to burst your bubble, but that press release was from February 15 of LAST year... I have a stinky suspicion that GTA3 has been dropped since then and neither Rockstar nor Take Two are "enthusiastic" about Xbox anymore... a fat paycheck from Sony probably took care of that.

GokuX is right... this game has definitely lost it's luster. I'm beyond the point of caring if it EVER comes out for Xbox (and I gave it an eXcitement score of 5 just three short months ago.) It's not in Rockstar's E3 lineup, so they're either being quiet, or it's not coming. If R* and Take Two made some sort of deal with Sony, then they're stupid. I'm all against crass commercialism, but they walked away from easy profit with this one. It probably would have been a million seller for Xbox, and it would've made the companies more money than Sony could ever dangle in front of them.
