The new sale numbers are in and the Xbox price drop did have a positive effect in Japan. For the first time since launch Xbox managed to out-sell the Gamecube and PSOne.

PlayStation 2: 65,200 (Annual: 1,705,300)
Game Boy Advance: 30,900 (Annual: 1,187,700)
Xbox: 7,400 (Annual: 193,000)
PSOne: 4,800 (Annual: 114,800)
GameCube: 2,500 (Annual: 563,200)
Game Boy Color: 1,200 (Annual: 50,400)
Wonder Swan Color: 1,100 (Annual: 83,600)

I kind of understand that and I kind of don't.

I know that the Japanse are Sony-Oriented and probably only buy the Playstation Consoles.

But those numbers?? I mean the Cube almost outselling the Xbox. Whats going on over there!? We need a campaign to go over there and promote the system and the games. The numbers shouldn't be that low!

I don't really care about Japan, but this still is good news. It means more money for the X-Box, which means more games for the X-Box, which means better X-Box sales.

It's about time xbox is so much better than any other system I ever played. Gamecube and Ps2 are about the same to me. Nerrad529
