Shrek?

While you are playing the game Shrek, is there any way to tell where some of these things that the book tells you to look for are? For ex. Where do you find the clock to punch, to make the moon come out, and the cow appear, so you can clear that level?

Absolutely any hints on finding these secrets out would be appreciated.

We had this game, but ended up trading it in since it got boring quick. I'm not sure if there is a hintbook or anything that wouyld give you clues as to the puzzle solutions. I know that the clock is right in the middle of the town (climb up the winding ramp to the top of the clock tower). If you punch that, it should become nighttime for a minute or so.
