Don't let those Ps2 and GCN fanboys trick you. there will be enough. and, xbox is being made on the same continent, which means that they can get here faster than the competition.
I've heard launch-day figures as high as 800,000 units, but even if it isn't...
Microsoft has been quoted as saying, that they'll be supplying up to 100,000 units per week thereafter. There should be plenty on the shelves through the holidays and beyond.
As far as launch goes, if there aren't enough units, they should definitely be available, soon after.
All I know is I preorderd mine and they told me it would be deliverd on the 16th so it better be here.

But, one thing I would like to add to this thread is a refreshment of memory: Microsoft isn't stupid. They are the richest company in the world and there are reasons for this...they have amazing follow through. I live in Seattle near Microsoft's headquarters and let me tell you...they don't mess around.
Today i made a deal with a guy who will start to wait in line on the 14th, hell get me an xbox and a game. The box will cost me a bit more, 375, but it'll be delivered to my doorstep right after school...
