    Default XBox Bundles for $199.99?

Hey, dudes....I'm posting this thread to ask a couple questions and/or to provide some info.

Starting this week, Fred Meyer stores (primarily on the West Coast) are selling brand new XBoxes for $199.99 and bundling in Sega GT and Jet Set Radio Future after Microsoft put together a deal with our buddies at the Sega Corporation.

I'm curious...is this only a deal that Fred Meyer stores is running or are there bundles like this elsewhere?

Not that I'm complaining because I've had one of, if not, the best years of my gaming life by having my XBox since last November (on launch day)...but, my original $299.99, for some apparent reason, seems to be more expensive looking as time moves on...

Nope, not just Fred Meyer stores. This is a nationwide bundle that you should be able to find everywhere which started at least before last week. I've spotted them at Best Buy, Circuit City, Target, and EB so far. Excellent deal. Makes me want to buy a second Xbox.

    smack...good luck on that one.
chances are i'm guessing you had yoru box since it was 300.
    thats almost a full year.
retailers are aware of the price breaks and won't refund you anything more then what is is worth brand new now...if anything at all.

I think this is a good idea. I haven't heard ps2 coming out with any bundles or any plans to do so. This should really escalate around the holiday season.

You can only get $199 back..that's the price of an Xbox. They're not going to give you more back than it sells for, no matter how much you paid for it.

We have had the bundles at Game Stop for a few weeks, selling really well.

PS2 has a $50.00 Mail in rebate offer, for who ever was asking.

That's really cool news to hear...about other chains providing sweet deals on the green X.

I feel that I can safely predict that XBox will be in the top 5 *things* to buy for Christmas this holiday season and that PS2 will start to suffer majorly in sales by March 2003 due to people wanting more from XBox and jumping on the XBox Live bandwagon. May I say R.I.P. yet?
