Xbox Next is a terrible name......im sure they'll hear negative feedback before launch and rename it......almost all systems go through 2 or 3 names before launch...like N64 and (i believe) dreamcast

Whatever it ends up being it had better have the word Xbox or Microsoft would be shooting themselves in the foot. Xbox is the brandname they spent 2+ billion on. Can't change that now or in 3 years.

Wow Knight, that's some pretty impressive research.

But in reality, Microsoft's next Xbox won't be a box at all.

We're going to have:

XSphere (an even more oddly shaped console)
Playstation 3 (still without a harddrive)
and the Mario Machine (Nintendo goes back to a cartridge based system)

Yes, that's the future of gaming.

What about the Dolphin? That ended up being the Gamecube. Just a few more examples.

Never trust the first name you hear for a new or upgraded console until it is actually out on the market.
