Xbox Platnium Hits?

I was just browsing through best buy.com and this is what I found:

I'm wondering if this is the Xbox Greatest Hits or something. I haven't seen this Platnium cover yet. I'm wodering if this is real or not.

actually i like this cover better than the black and green lol .. i havent seen any platinum covers on xbox .. either im missing something, or they have sneaked them in under my nose.. sorry dont know if its genuine or not.

I agree. I actually like the Platnium style covering compared to the Xbox normal covering. I don't like how Sony does the covers for their Greatest Hits.

from what i've heard, halo, pgr, nfl and nba 2k3, jsrf, segagt, doa3, and wreckless will also be greatest hits. i've been hearing about this lineup for quite a few months now. one thing that surprised me (and that I like) is the "platinum hits" name. i thought it would be just greatest hits. and i also like the packaging, although not as much as the black and green.

is it me or does anyone else think the box covers look fake? since its on bestbuy.com ill believe it, but it looks photoshopped to me.

They do look a little fake, but if it is at Best Buy, then it is probably real. I don't know if I like the look or not, but I might get Max Payne.

I heard that they were on amazon.com too. I'm wondering just how many copies a game has to sell to become a Platnium Hit. I'm hoping Amped becomes one. Liquid Gears would be able to buy it.

I'll be getting the Munch's Oddysee for sure, I've never played it before.

Just a note, most of these games are priced at 19.99-29.99. All there really doing is changing the case design and calling it a platinum hit.

They probably won't make Halo a Platnium Hits until Halo 2 comes out. GTA3 on PS2 still hasn't become a greatest hits yet and it sold over 4 million copies.
