    Default HDTV question

I have the HD pack from Xbox. If i goto a friends house, and plug it into his 16:9 aspect ratio tv, select xbox video settings to 1048i or whatever, will the games be in widescreen format? Or will they be stretched to fit the whole screen?
    i am an artist.

Depends on the game. Only some support widescreen. All support EDTV and some support true HDTV resolutions. If you want to be sure about what you will get, headover to LynxFX's website. HDTV Gaming as well as HTF .

If you select Widescreen on the XBox dashboard, the game will actually stretch to fit the screen if the game is not formatted for widescreen. With many games that are not formatted for widescreen, it's hard to tell that it's even stretched at all...like Halo, for example. It's not formatted for widescreen, but, it looks awesome.

I have a widescreen HDTV...I love it and would never go back to an interlaced scan tube
