Default Anone here going to get the Xbox Music Mixer??

I was just reading through this months OXM and on page 6 they show the Xbox Music Mixer. This is the coolest thing that they could release for the Xbox. There are a lot of features listed so I recommend looking at page 6 in the magazine. Here are a few things it can do if you don't know:

It will automatically name your music files you put on your hard drive, it allows you to connect the Xbox to your pc so you can transfer over your MP3's and WMA files. It's Xbox Live compatible so it will give you access to tons of songs and new visuals and more karaoke features. It has a photo viewer so you can transfer pictures from your PC so you can create (stunning) slide shows. It will also have little people dancing to your music.

The only downside to this that I can think of is, you might run out of hard drive space on the Xbox if you cram too much stuff on it.

Still not to sure about this.

    - Comes with a mic to do karaoke as well as being able to strip lyrics from songs. I have a sister that would love the whole karaoke thing, but its not really my deal.

-photo show: never made one, don't really see myself making any any time soon

-new music capabilities: transfer from pc, auto-naming, new visualizations, etc.. This is the only real selling point for me so I'm going to wait and see how well these features work b4 buying.

Also depends on price. I'm certain they won't be charging game price for an item like this, but with the inclusion of the mic peripheral, they might try and put too high of a price on this.

So basically, I'm going to wait to hear more from my fellow XBA'ers before grabbin one of these

If it allows you to import video to your xbox, I'll get it. But if not, I'll just leave this title to the asian kids.

I'll pass. I think the only ones seriously thinking about it, are those that are thinking about Dance Dance Revolution.

OXM has it listed for $39.99

-new music capabilities: transfer from pc, auto-naming, new visualizations, etc.. This is the only real selling point for me so I'm going to wait and see how well these features work b4 buying.
That's the only reason I'm buying it.

If you feed like preaching your straight pride evangilism... preach elsewhere. Disparaging people by calling them 'homo' or other names is not going to be tolerated and will earn you a free vacation away from our site.

My wife loves this kind of stuff for parties and things. I'll probably end up getting it, if for nothing else than to fool around with it.

I think it will be cool to have the music mixer because it will let you downlaod songs off the internet so you can have a huge music collection

I dunno... that Xbox Live button on the bottom of the menu definately has me intrigued. Maybe downloaded visualizations... or better yet, downloaded free songs!

I'll pass on it. It's not a bad concept because it adds even more variety to the Xbox. Are future Xbox's going to have it included? Or is it an add on?

Actually, what OXM said about the Live options is that, when connected, songs in your soundtrack can be found in a database and named automatically. There will also be the option to download visualizations and the like. I'm definitely going to be picking this up, coz I'm all about the music.

BTW - Like your avatar, Teg! I've got all six Doors albums on my Xbox soundtrack, all ripped from the mini-LP box set I have. They're one of my all-time fav bands.
