Halo Co-op in LAN environment

My buddy and I hooked our XBoxes up together. We each had our own TV, our own XBox, and our own Halo games. But, to our disappointment, we could not play Co-op in the Campaign option on our own TVs. We could, however, play the multi-player games...like elimination, capture the flag, etc.

But, I'm curious, does anyone know how to get around playing in a LAN the co-op Campaign mode on Halo?

Alas -you can only play Co-Op split screen.

Yeah, I was bummed. But, oh well, multi-player is still bad ass
